Category 6 Waterpark occupies the upper decks within the Thrill Island neighbourhood toward the forward section of Legend of the Seas. This elevated position integrates it with surrounding adrenaline structures, accessible via staircases and lifts from lower decks and adjacent pool areas. The layout clusters the slides in a compact, intertwined formation that maximises vertical drops while maintaining clear sightlines across the ship’s bow.

The waterpark contains six record-breaking slides. Frightening Bolt delivers the tallest drop slide at sea, sending riders through a near-vertical descent. Storm Chasers provides side-by-side mat racing for direct competition. Hurricane Hunter accommodates family raft rides with capacity for three or four riders, navigating enclosed and open sections that cantilever over the ocean edge. Pressure Drop offers an open free-fall body slide, while additional body slides and twisting tubes complete the set. The slides incorporate timing elements and transparent sections for added visibility during descent.

This waterpark configuration exists on Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas with identical slide line-ups and record claims. Legend of the Seas matches the scale and specific attractions established on those sister vessels.

Riders access Category 6 through designated entry points at the base of each slide tower, with height and weight restrictions applied per attraction for safety. The mat-racing and raft slides require participants to collect equipment at the top, while body slides operate continuously. The entire complex operates during set hours aligned with sea days and port schedules, with lifeguard stations positioned at exits.

Category 6 on Legend of the Seas delivers a concentrated set of six slides engineered for distinct ride profiles, from competitive racing on Storm Chasers to group rafting on Hurricane Hunter and solo drops on Frightening Bolt. Its placement within Thrill Island allows immediate transition to other features such as Crown’s Edge and the FlowRider without leaving the zone. The design replicates the engineering first deployed on prior Icon-class ships, maintaining the same slide names and specifications across the fleet.
