Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled fleet-wide enhancements for Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem, with the new features including expanded wellness suites and popular guest amenities designed to create greater consistency across the fleet. The Mandara Spa and Thermal Suite has been redesigned with three times as many hot tile loungers, plus new Charcoal Saunas, Ice Rooms, Salt Rooms, IV Lounges, and Four-Senses Loungers, with Norwegian Jade receiving a Plunge Pool and Norwegian Gem receiving a Thalassotherapy pool. The adults-only Vibe Beach Club has been added to Deck 14 on both ships, featuring ocean views, a private bar, an additional hot tub, over 50 premium loungers, and seven cabanas.
The thermal suite transformations have been carried out with guest feedback in mind, centralising the layout and upgrading the reception area alongside the steam rooms and saunas. The Charcoal Sauna utilises a radiant heat system with an outer charcoal layer that has potential benefits for boosting circulation and releasing toxins from the body, while the Ice Room invigorates the respiratory tract with cold air. The Salt Room has been designed to benefit skin health and induce deep relaxation, and the IV Lounge has been installed to deliver essential nutrients to the body through an increasingly popular treatment. Norwegian Jade has also received Experiential Showers featuring multiple water jets and lighting effects, alongside the Plunge Pool for brief cold-water immersion.
Norwegian Jade has been operating seven-day sailings from Vancouver and Whittier in Alaska through late summer 2026, with scenic cruising through the Inside Passage and glacier regions, while Norwegian Gem has been offering Mediterranean and Greek Isles voyages departing from Rome and Venice. A new licensed Starbucks café has been added aboard Norwegian Jade, extending the cruise line’s position as the first in the industry to offer the coffee brand across its entire fleet. The winter season will see Norwegian Jade return to Asia for immersive voyages, while Norwegian Gem will offer Caribbean and Bahamas cruises from Tampa, Florida, with both ships now featuring the enhanced amenities for guests.
