AmaWaterways has unveiled a first look at the AmaNubia, its new luxury river ship debuting on the Nile River in November 2026, and shared updated renderings of the reimagined AmaDahlia, which will debut in its new form in September 2026. Together with the AmaLilia, the ships underscore the company’s investment in Egypt. The company said in a press release that the AmaNubia accommodates 76 guests and features 38 staterooms. The ship has been designed to provide an intimate and luxurious home along the Nile, and offers the same amenities as its sister ship, the AmaLilia.
The ship’s interiors are inspired by ancient Egypt and draw on the carved stone of temples, the Nile and Nubian culture. Guests will enjoy locally inspired cuisine, a wellness area, a fitness centre and sailings accompanied by dedicated Egyptologists. According to the press release, the AmaNubia will sail the “Secrets of Egypt & the Nile” itinerary, which offers visits to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan, and a private visit to the Abdeen Palace in Cairo.
Guests sailing aboard the AmaNubia will enjoy a stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence, while AmaLilia guests stay at The St. Regis Cairo and AmaDahlia guests experience The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo. The company added that guests may further personalise their journey with optional experiences, including a visit to the Abu Simbel temple and High Tea at the historic Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan. Guests can also opt for the land extensions in Alexandria, Dubai and Jordan. The AmaNubia begins sailing in November 2026, joining the AmaDahlia and AmaLilia, with the AmaCleo set to join in autumn 2027.
