Holland America Line expands 2028 Europe programme with more Dover departures

Holland America has expanded its 2028 Europe programme with 16 Dover departures, up from 12 in 2027
Five ships will operate across Europe including Nieuw Statendam, Rotterdam and Zuiderdam
Canary Islands roundtrips have increased from 2 to 3 departures
The expansion represents the largest European deployment in nearly a decade
Early booking deals include the Have It All package

Holland America Line has expanded its 2028 Europe cruise programme, increasing departures from Dover in England, to 16 sailings, up from 12 in 2027. The expansion has aimed to meet growing demand from English travellers seeking to eliminate the need for flights. Five ships, including Rotterdam, Nieuw Statendam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Volendam and Zuiderdam, will operate across the continent.

Nieuw Statendam will return as the primary ship homeporting in Dover for a third consecutive year. Canary Islands roundtrips will increase from 2 to 3 departures, with itinerary lengths expanding from 13 to 14 days. Destination regions from Dover include Northern Europe, the Baltics, Scandinavia, Iceland, Greenland and Ireland. Collectors’ Voyages will allow travellers to combine back-to-back itineraries into longer, multi-region vacations.

The expanded Dover footprint forms part of Holland America Line’s largest overall European deployment in nearly a decade. Nieuw Amsterdam returns to Europe for the first time in over a decade to sail the Mediterranean and Adriatic. Zuiderdam returns freshly upgraded from the Holland America Evolution transformation. Rotterdam will operate 7-day Norwegian Fjord roundtrips from Rotterdam. Volendam will serve diverse deployments across Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. Early booking deals include the Have It All package featuring shore excursion credits, specialty dining and an elite beverage package.
