Tourism Ireland and seven tourism enterprises host ‘Taste of Ireland’ event in Glasgow

Tourism Ireland’s ‘Taste of Ireland’ networking event in Glasgow brought together seven tourism enterprises from the island of Ireland with 33 leading Scottish tour operators and travel agents. The participating businesses included Crafts of Ireland, Shirt Tales NI, Skellig Six18 Distillery, Taste Waterford, The Bodhrán Buzz, The Courthouse Creative Hub, and The Harbourview Hotel. The event featured presentations and networking opportunities designed to showcase the best of the island’s tourism offering, including food and drink experiences, heritage and visitor attractions.

The event provided a valuable platform for Tourism Ireland and its partners to remind Scottish travel professionals about the many great things for their clients to see and do in Ireland. The initiative is part of Tourism Ireland’s strategy to build valuable relationships and secure a greater share of business from the important Scottish market for 2026 and beyond. Scotland continues to be a key source market for Irish tourism, with the event helping to strengthen trade connections between the two countries.

Aislinn O’Driscoll from Fáilte Ireland, Gwen Beveridge from Tourism NI, and Caroline Mulligan and Sinéad Murray from Tourism Ireland attended the event alongside the participating businesses. In 2026, Tourism Ireland will deliver over 1,000 promotional opportunities for tourism SMEs, enabling 35,000 commercial meetings and delivering €300 million in business pipeline.
