Tourism Ireland and seven tourism enterprises host ‘Taste of Ireland’ event in Glasgow

Tourism Ireland has been promoting Ireland to 25 top Scottish tour operators and travel agents in Glasgow this week through its ‘A Taste of Ireland Networking Event’. Seven tourism enterprises from Ireland have participated in the B2B event, which involves presentations and networking to inspire Scottish travel professionals about Ireland. The event provides a valuable opportunity for Tourism Ireland and its partners to remind Scottish travel professionals about the many great things for their clients to see and do in Ireland, including food and drink experiences, rich heritage and superb visitor attractions.

Scotland represents an important market for Irish tourism. The networking event in Glasgow allows partners from Ireland to connect with travel professionals who have the potential to bring valuable tourists to Ireland. Building relationships with these Scottish operators secures a greater share of their business for 2025 and beyond. Tourism Ireland continues to target key international markets through direct engagement with travel trade professionals.

The participating tourism businesses from Ireland include Barnagh Greenway Hub, Friels Bar and Restaurant and GORTA – Swatragh’s Famine Story, Kingdom Whiskey Tasting Events Kerry and Portmagee Whiskey ‘Spirit of the Sea’ Experience, Long Meadow Cider, Mother Macs, Siamsa Tíre Theatre and Arts Centre, and The Boatyard Distillery. Caroline Mulligan, Aislinn O’Driscoll, Gwen Beveridge, David Wood, Caoimhe McKay, Sinead Murray and Linda Duncan from Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland attended the event.
