The airport achieved an all-time calendar record in 2025, processing 31.38m passengers across the full year, an 8.6pc growth rate driven significantly by a rebuilding long-haul flight network. January 2026 alone saw 2,083,502 passengers, representing a 3.9pc increase year-over-year.
Official tracking shows consistent growth throughout the year, with a minor shift in infrastructure usage when one of the airport’s runways (35L/17R) closed for routine structural and technology maintenance between mid-March and early May. June traffic for the entire country expanded by roughly 4.9pc, with early data hinting that peak leisure traffic surges over summer months are outpacing expectations. The airport’s performance reflects the broader recovery in Italian aviation.
