The Association of Women Travel Executives has announced its upcoming VIP Dress Sale, a fundraising event scheduled for 10 October 2026 at a Dublin city centre venue from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. The event has been designed to bring together fashion-conscious travel professionals and supporters from across the industry, offering attendees the opportunity to browse and purchase pre-loved dresses, bags, shoes and accessories. The initiative aims to give fashion items a second life while supporting a charitable cause within the travel community.
Fifty percent of all sales proceeds will be donated to the ITAA Benevolent Fund, a charity that provides financial assistance to both past and present travel professionals during times of hardship and need. The partnership has been described by AWTE as particularly meaningful to the organisation, with the fund holding significance for many within the travel community. The event promises to combine sustainable shopping, networking and fundraising, with attendees able to discover high-quality fashion pieces while supporting colleagues and friends within the travel industry.
AWTE Chairperson Olwen McKinney has confirmed the organisation’s excitement about bringing the travel community together for what promises to be a fun and impactful event. The AWTE has invited anyone interested in selling pre-loved items to register their interest via email. Additional event details, including the final Dublin city centre venue, will be announced in the coming weeks. The organisation has also announced upcoming events including a September lunchtime session with broadcaster Barbara Scully and a Christmas party scheduled for 17 December 2026 at The Morgan Hotel.
Olwen McKinney shared “We are excited to bring the travel community together for what promises to be a fun, stylish and impactful event and with conference and awards season just around the corner, VIP is the perfect opportunity to pick up a fantastic pre-loved outfit, bag or accessory while supporting the ITAA Benevolent Fund as it is a great way to shop sustainably, refresh your wardrobe and give back to a charity that does incredible work for people across our industry”
