Google has rolled out new travel features in its AI Mode search experience, allowing users in the United States to book hotels conversationally and track flight prices more widely. Hotel booking works with partners including Booking.com, Choice Hotels, Expedia, Hilton, Hotels.com, IHG, Marriott, Priceline, Trip.com and Wyndham. Travellers describe trip details and preferences, receive options with reviews, then complete bookings via Google Pay while the hotel or platform remains merchant of record. Flight price tracking is available in over 180 countries, with options to view costs in points or miles for selected airlines and hotels.

Points pricing has gone live for Choice, Hilton and Wyndham, with Accor and Hyatt expected soon. The hotel booking feature is rolling out in English in the US over coming weeks. Users can chat with AI Mode to find accommodations, review options, select rooms and pay directly inside the chat using Google Pay. Supported hotel partners include major online travel agencies and hotel chains. Flight price tracking allows users to describe their trip parameters in natural language and ask AI Mode to monitor airfare changes from over 300 partner airlines and travel sites, sending email alerts when prices shift.

The system can display estimated flight and hotel redemption costs using select loyalty and rewards programs. The hotel booking feature represents a significant expansion of Google’s conversational AI capabilities into direct travel transactions. The travel features have been designed to function more like a travel agent by adding integrated hotel checkout alongside conversational flight price tracking.
