The Northern European markets contribute more than €300m annually to Irish tourism businesses, with visitors drawn to Ireland’s scenery, culture and heritage offerings. Discussions during the gathering have covered a range of topics including sustainability initiatives, the growing trend of coolcations and the development of unmissable visitor experiences that deliver value for money.
Strong air connectivity from Amsterdam to Dublin, Belfast and Cork, combined with increased flight capacity from Norway and Sweden, has made travel to Ireland more accessible than ever in 2026. The improved access has supported visitor numbers from Northern Europe, with travellers seeking both urban experiences and rural escapes across the island.
