Dingle Food Festival chief Martin Bealin has confirmed that fraudsters have targeted his event and other Irish food festivals, with individuals approaching food and beverage suppliers about securing stall space for the festival scheduled for the weekend of 3 October and 4 October. One ice cream vendor contacted Mr Bealin to verify an approach made to him, prompting organisers to investigate and discover that several repeated attempts had been made to suppliers targeting the festival. The list of companies admitted to the festival had been finalised in October of the previous year.
Organisers have now issued a warning to vendors, stating that Street Market applications are closed for 2026 and the confirmed list of Street Market vendors is available on their website. The official email address for communication remains info@dinglefood.com. Mr Bealin confirmed that the scammers are contacting vendors and applicants with fraudulent payment requests and sending out fake online application forms to trade at the festivals. In Dingle, applicants were contacted using a fake email address and asked to make a payment through a Revolut link.
Mr Bealin has urged all food festival organisers and food suppliers to remain especially vigilant. He advised them to check email addresses carefully, avoid making payments through unexpected links, and verify payment details directly with the relevant festival. Dingle Food Festival does not operate a Revolut account. Gardaí have been notified and are monitoring the situation.

They need to check email addresses carefully, make sure not to make payments through unexpected links, and make sure they verify payment details directly with the festival involved. Anyone who believes they have been targeted is encouraged to contact the relevant festival directly and report the incident.”
