Riviera Travel has appointed Craig Randell as Chief Technology Officer to lead Digital Transformation. Craig joins Riviera’s Executive Team at a pivotal time as the company accelerates its strategic shift toward becoming a more technology and marketing-led operator. His appointment supports Riviera’s long-term ambitions to continuously innovate, differentiate its product and protect its market-leading position. Craig brings extensive technology leadership experience across the travel sector, including senior roles at TUI and Hotelplan, and a strong track record of driving platform modernisation, delivering large-scale digital transformations and building high-performing teams.
As CTO, Craig will lead Riviera’s technology, data and digital transformation strategy. Key priorities include overseeing the rollout of a brand-new booking platform, advancing CRM and AI capabilities, and expanding digital tools for both trade partners and direct guests. These investments will underpin Riviera’s growth strategy while sharpening guest personalisation and rewarding customer loyalty. The company is making major investments across its infrastructure from the new booking platform and advanced CRM tools to expanding AI capabilities.
Craig pointed to RIVA AI as an example of the company’s practical approach to digital transformation, describing it as a tool to make life easier for everyone Riviera works with. The appointment further strengthens Riviera’s Executive Team, reinforcing the company’s commitment to investing in the talent, technology and infrastructure required to drive sustainable, long-term growth. Riviera Travel operates in 66 countries and offers 90 European tours, 52 worldwide tours, 19 ocean cruises, 55 solo traveller holidays and 50 river cruises.
