The Ruby Group is strengthening its presence in Northern Europe with a new project in Finland, with the upcoming Ruby Hotel in Helsinki located in the Kamppi district within the Professor House Proffa. The property will feature 84 rooms, bringing Ruby’s Lean Luxury philosophy to one of the city’s most creative and culturally rich neighbourhoods. The project will be developed in partnership with long-term real estate partner Union Investment and is set to open in Q1 2028.

The listed building at Lapinlahdenkatu 3 was constructed in the 19th century and served as an office building for many years. It will be converted to accommodate 84 rooms and inviting public areas on the first floor while preserving essential historic features. All guests will have access to a 24-hour bar and café in the public area. The property is multi-tenant, with the ground floor shared by established long-term operators including a pub and restaurant. Situated in the heart of Kamppi, the property offers excellent connectivity with the Kamppi metro station just steps away and the central station reachable on foot.

The new Ruby hotel in Helsinki will become IHG’s fourth property in Finland and add to its growing presence in key Northern European cities. Part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ premium collection, Ruby was founded in 2013 and operates 22 hotels across Europe with an additional 18 hotels currently under construction or in the planning phase. Union Investment, one of Germany’s most renowned institutional investors, has been a trusted Ruby Group partner for many years and already serves as one of the landlords in Düsseldorf.
