The Irish Film Institute has requested a Q&A host for a screening of A Siege of Paradise at IFI Documentary Festival on Saturday 26 September at 20.20. The film is described as a combination of sun-soaked holiday-making and growing concern among residents of a tiny coastal village as it is overrun by tourists. The documentary comes from Gar O’Rourke, who brought audiences the Oscar long-listed Sanatorium.
Gar O’Rourke will not be available to join the post-screening discussion. The film’s producers Ken Wardrop and Jessie Hayden will step up for the post-screening chat. Q&As generally run for about 20 minutes with another 5 or 10 minutes for audience questions. The IFI has offered a modest fee of €50 to hosts and stated that a screening link can be sent for previewing.
