Etihad Airways has revealed new First and Business Class cabins for its incoming Airbus A330-900 fleet. The aircraft will feature four First Class suites and 24 fully flat Business Class seats, alongside 252 seats in Economy. The new premium seats are based around the Thompson Vantage XL platform. The reveal took place at Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.
The four First suites occupy an intimate cabin at the front of the aircraft. Each has a closing door and room for a companion to dine or socialise during the flight. A 32-inch entertainment screen sits at the centre of each suite, accompanied by wireless charging, dedicated compartments and personal storage. Behind First, the Business cabin comprises 24 forward-facing, fully flat seats, each with direct aisle access and a sliding privacy door. Every seat has a 17.3-inch screen, wired and wireless charging, a large table and dedicated personal storage.
The new cabin features a lighter and more refined palette of stone and sand, offset by black elements within the seat structure. The warmer golden tones closely associated with Etihad are less prominent. The A330-900 will feature 252 Economy seats with a 13.3-inch 4K touchscreen and personal charging. A dedicated Extra Legroom section will comprise 32 seats offering an additional four inches of pitch. The recently introduced Etihad Wellbeing programme brings together quieter cabin environments, new sleep products, wellness content and a signature scent. A new Etihad lounge at London Heathrow is due to open in the third quarter of 2027.
