Goldman Sachs has backed a €260m luxury health and longevity resort project in Marbella named Oakmond. Through its division Real Estate at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, the banking group has secured a €145m senior debt financing loan for the project. Developed by Ilanga Capital, Oakmond will be built on the site of Marbella’s former Incosol hotel.

Construction is slated to begin in autumn 2026 with an estimated build time of 36 months, pointing to an official opening in the third quarter of 2029. The complex will span over 53,000 square metres and feature a 140-room luxury hotel, 28 private residences, high-end physical activity zones, and health-focused gastronomy.

Oakmond plans to offer preventive medicine, advanced wellness, and precision healthcare. The funding will support clinical operations and active research into longevity science. The project highlights Marbella’s transformation into a year-round hub for medical longevity and wellness tourism.
