Futuroscope has revealed plans for a major hotel expansion unveiling the construction of its fourth four-star themed property under the codename Utopia. Slated to open in December 2027 the new development coincides with the French theme park’s 40th anniversary and extends its long-term strategic transition from a day-trip destination into a multi-day vacation resort.
The new property builds upon Futuroscope’s technological identity. Early architectural designs reveal futuristic saucer-shaped structures set against an otherworldly red landscape complete with a massive walkway-lined central indoor atrium and a circular glass roof. Key specifications include 245 themed rooms including premium and VIP suites, a 400-seat circular restaurant wrapped around a central bar, a separate 250-seat bar and a guest-exclusive luxury spa featuring a sauna, whirlpool and hammam.
A designated pedestrian bridge will connect the hotel directly to Aquascope the resort’s 6000-square-metre indoor water park. The venue will target the MICE market with a dedicated business wing capable of hosting 350 people featuring a 200-seat amphitheatre and eight separate breakout rooms.
