Hilton has revealed a strategic expansion of its Spark by Hilton brand signing an agreement to add 10 new hotels across England and Wales. Partnering with hotel owner and operator AG Hotels Group these existing properties will be converted and are expected to open between late 2026 and 2028 introducing a total of 672 additional rooms to the England pipeline. The deal introduces the brand to Wales for the first time and brings a Hilton presence to several regional markets that previously had no Hilton Honors properties.
The 10 properties will be situated near major transport interchanges, commercial hubs and regional attractions. Four of the locations represent completely new markets for the brand including Derby, Runcorn, Wakefield and Washington. The Cardiff property marks the brand’s official debut in Wales. The properties include Spark by Hilton Derby Station with 100 rooms, Spark by Hilton Peterborough Norman Cross with 99 rooms, Spark by Hilton Washington Newcastle South with 79 rooms and Spark by Hilton Wakefield South with 77 rooms.
Other properties include Spark by Hilton Sunderland Northern Spire Bridge with 63 rooms, Spark by Hilton Runcorn with 53 rooms, Spark by Hilton Cardiff North with 51 rooms, Spark by Hilton Doncaster East with 51 rooms, Spark by Hilton Hull Central with 51 rooms and Spark by Hilton Coventry Walsgrave with 48 rooms. The Spark by Hilton brand launched globally in 2023 to fill a gap in the budget-conscious value-driven hospitality market.
