Average hotel overnight rates in Spain have reached €166.90 which is 30.5pc higher than four years ago. The average daily rate per occupied hotel room in Spain reached €166.90 in August 2026 marking a 7.3pc increase compared to August 2025 according to data from the National Institute of Statistics. Revenue per available room reached €133.10 up 7pc year-on-year while the hotel price index rose by 6.3pc annually reflecting 62 consecutive months of price increases.
Overnight stays surpassed 48.7m a modest 1.4pc increase driven primarily by foreign tourism. Five-star hotels recorded an average daily rate of €357.80 with revenue per available room of €273.00. Four-star hotels recorded €176.70 average daily rate with €150.80 revenue per available room. Three-star hotels recorded €145.00 average daily rate with €117.90 revenue per available room.
Estepona in Málaga recorded the highest rates in the country with an average daily rate of €418.00 and revenue per available room of €359.40.
