Stay Unique is expanding its footprint into the boutique hotel market by opening the Zanjan Palace Hotel in October 2026. The Barcelona-based property management firm has taken over the operations of a Baroque mansion from the late 18th century situated on Calle Álamos in the historic heart of Málaga. The historic palace was originally constructed by the Marqués de Guirior family.
The remodelling project focuses closely on balancing contemporary hotel comforts while strictly preserving its original architectural legacy. A central feature of the boutique hotel is its traditional interior courtyard around which the entire layout of the property is oriented. This launch highlights Stay Unique’s evolving business model from handling vacation apartment rentals into acting as a specialised white-label hotel operator.
The move comes amidst a major European expansion phase for the company which recently includes taking over the management of three historic properties in the old centre of Athens and signing a management agreement to operate a new Ibis Styles hotel in Puerto de la Cruz under the Accor Group banner.
