McGee Air Services has elected Ben Reed as its new President, effective 1 October 2026. The announcement on 25 September 2026 formalises a role Reed has held on an interim basis for the last six months. Reed will oversee more than 3,200 employees and manage aviation ground services across six airports. He is responsible for directing strategy, company growth and financial performance.
McGee Air Services is a dedicated ground-services subsidiary of Alaska Airlines, operating under the broader Alaska Air Group network. Reed is a 17-year veteran of Alaska Air Group and was one of the founding leaders who helped launch McGee Air Services in 2016. His history with the organisation includes serving twice as the Managing Director of Safety and Compliance from 2016 to 2017 and 2020 to 2025.
Reed led the Seattle station as the Managing Director of Operations from 2017 to 2020 and late 2025 to March 2026. He joined Alaska Airlines in 2009, holding multiple leadership positions including internal audit manager, manager of airports quality assurance and director of aviation security. The appointment formalises the leadership role he has held on an interim basis.
