Carnival Cruise Line is preparing to launch the Carnival Tropicale in early 2028 as the final ship in its Excel-class series. The LNG-powered vessel offers cruises from Galveston along with the Carnival Jubilee. The maiden voyage for Carnival Tropicale sails from Galveston on 15 April 2028. After crossing the Atlantic, the new Excel-class vessel hosts its first guests for a six-night cruise to the Western Caribbean. The itinerary is repeated throughout the ship’s inaugural season.
The Tropicale’s maiden season is highlighted by a series of eight-night cruises to the Bahamas sailing from Galveston. The itinerary features visits to Nassau, in addition to two of Carnival Corporation’s private islands in the country: Celebration Key and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. Nearly 30 departures are scheduled to take place between April 2028 and April 2029. In addition to sailing to the Bahamas, the Carnival Tropicale also offers 25 cruises to the Western Caribbean between 2028 and 2029. After departing from Galveston, the six-night itineraries feature a visit to Cozumel in Mexico, as well as a stop in Carnival’s private destination of Isla Tropicale in Roatán, Honduras.
The Carnival Tropicale is scheduled to offer a single four-night cruise to Mexico during its inaugural season. Departing from Galveston in early 2029, the short sailing features a visit to Cozumel, in addition to a day of cruising in the Western Caribbean. Carnival also added short cruises to Mexico for guests who wish to celebrate the holidays onboard the new ship, with two five-night departures on 23 December and 28 December 2028. As part of the itineraries, the Carnival Tropicale visits two destinations in Mexico: Costa Maya and Cozumel.
