VIVA Cruises has unveiled its largest-ever programme for 2028, featuring 332 departures across seven ships and major European rivers. The programme has been made available to book from 15 October 2026, running from January to December with itineraries on the Rhine, Douro, Danube and Dutch Waterways. Four new itineraries have been introduced including a 14-night Grand European Journey to Budapest and a 10-night Wine Journey Between Basel & Nancy.

The 2028 season has featured themed options covering wellness, jazz, culinary and wine itineraries. VIVA Cruises has added four new ports of call including Bingen and Glückstadt in Germany and Medemblik and Lemmer in the Netherlands. New excursions have included wine tasting at the Disibodenberg Monastery Ruins in Bingen and a visit to Giethoorn when in Lemmer.

Michelle Daniels, director of sales for UK & Ireland and Australia & New Zealand at VIVA Cruises, has shared that the 2028 programme represents an important step forward with more departures than ever and a diverse choice of itineraries. The all-inclusive experience has included all meals, flexible dining across up to three restaurants, premium drinks, High Tea once per voyage, a daily replenished minibar, Nespresso coffee machine, welcome bottle of prosecco, Rituals toiletries, Wi-Fi and gratuities. VIVA Boutique has offered a premium boutique-hotel-style river cruise concept with VIVA BEYOND sailing on the Seine and VIVA UNIQUE scheduled to launch on Italy’s Po River in 2027.
