Red Roof has outlined a comprehensive growth and elevation strategy centered on quality, consistency and performance at its recent brand conference. Led by President Zack Gharib, the hospitality brand aims to capitalise on the rising demand for economy and midscale lodging by enhancing the guest experience and driving profitability for franchise owners.
The strategy includes geographic expansion into the Canadian market, anchored by the opening of a Red Roof PLUS+ at Vancouver Airport. Domestic focus includes target markets in the western United States to scale the brand footprint. Brand elevation initiatives include the Red Roof PLUS+ Transformation, strengthening its position in the midscale segment by adding hot breakfasts, interior-corridor designs, lobby marketplaces and optional pools or fitness facilities. Red Roof Lightscape is a brand-wide exterior mandate requiring properties to upgrade to high-efficiency, commercial-grade LED lighting to enhance guest safety and visibility. The company is also accelerating the expansion of HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof, leveraging an operations-centric prototype built for franchise efficiency.
Tech and loyalty evolution includes the RediRewards Overhaul, transitioning from a traditional loyalty programme to a personalized guest relationship platform featuring tier benefits, dynamic point promotions and added tools for business travellers. The company is investing heavily in direct digital interactions via their HotelKey technology partnership to streamline booking and stay personalisation.
