Iberostar reports 7pc sales rise

Iberostar Hotels and Resorts has recorded a 7pc rise in global sales for the first nine months of 2026. Average daily rates rose by a similar 7pc. The group continues a €1bn investment plan through 2028.

Sales surged by over 10pc in Europe’s Canary and Balearic Islands. Brazil and the Dominican Republic experienced sales growth of 10pc and 8pc respectively. Iberostar opened its fourth hotel in Montenegro. The group will launch its first East African property, the five-star Iberostar Selection Zanzibar in Tanzania, on 1 November 2026.

The company will reopen several premium properties in December 2026. These include JOIA Rose Hall in Jamaica and Iberostar Waves Tucán and Iberostar Waves Quetzal in Mexico. The investment plan focuses on asset acquisition and property transformations. Iberostar continues its Wave of Change sustainability framework.
