Smithsonian Journeys has unveiled its 2028 river cruise collection in collaboration with AmaWaterways. The programme features 50 departures across 15 itineraries including two new voyages for 2028. The cruises showcase Europe’s rivers including the Danube, Rhine, Douro, Seine, and Rhône.
Three sailings along the Mekong through Cambodia and Vietnam are included. Each cruise features excursions and opportunities to engage with Smithsonian Journeys Experts. Optional pre- and post-cruise land programmes are available. New eight-day cruises include Waterways of Holland and Belgium from 22 to 29 July and 2 to 9 September 2028 starting from $3,639 per person. Cruising the Rhine and Moselle Rivers runs from 31 May to 10 June and 4 to 14 October 2028 starting from $4,759 per person.
New departures for 2028 include 11 eight-day cruises. Holland and Belgium in Spring runs on multiple dates in April 2028 starting from $4,439 per person. Along the Seine runs on multiple dates from April to October 2028 starting from $4,379 per person. Burgundy and Provence River Cruise runs on multiple dates in 2028 starting from $4,279 per person. A 15-day Grand Danube cruise starts from $7,179 per person. A 16-day Mekong cruise starts from $6,688 per person.
