Hilton’s lifestyle brand Tempo is expanding into Europe with a 199-room property in Munich. A contract has been signed for the Tempo by Hilton Munich Airport Arena, with further hotels planned in locations including Belfast, Lisbon and Reykjavik. The brand currently has six hotels in the US, but more than 80 projects worldwide are already in the pipeline.
The Tempo by Hilton hotel will form part of the Munich Arena’s live entertainment campus. Located near the airport, the site is set to become home to one of Europe’s leading concert venues. The new 20,000-capacity concert hall could become a Munich landmark. Each room at Tempo by Hilton Munich Airport Arena will feature a Get Ready Zone with a make-up mirror, desk and open wardrobe. The hotel’s gym will deliver the brand’s signature Power Up experience.
Other highlights include a ground-floor cafe serving healthy food and drinks, as well as a rooftop bar offering cocktails and small plates. Munich continues to be a popular destination for business and leisure travellers. Hotel groups including B&B Hotels, ibis Styles, Moxy, Numa, NYX and Premier Inn are expected to open new properties in Munich over the next three years. Tempo by Hilton is scheduled to open in 2029.
