Domaine des Etangs, Auberge Collection has partnered with French bootmaker Le Chameau as its official boot partner. Located in an unspoilt region of southwest France amid 2,500 acres of forest, the 13th-century chateau and farm estate has partnered with the iconic French bootmaker to usher in the autumn season. From 2 October, this onsite collaboration allows guests to celebrate the great outdoors and engage in the estate’s surroundings.
Boots are available for use while on the estate, allowing guests of all ages to explore vast forests and winding pathways. The chateau’s boot room is stocked with Le Chameau’s signature wellington boots. Guests staying in one of the domaine’s farmhouse cottages find boots waiting upon arrival, while those booking an estate experience led by the resident gamekeeper receive boots delivered to their room in advance. A curated selection of Le Chameau boots is also available at an exclusive rate in the estate’s boutique.
The partnership is brought to life through a curated experience. Beginning at Le Moulin, Domaine des Etangs’ award-winning spa set within a centuries-old mill, will be Sacred Roots, a signature collaboration created exclusively with Le Chameau. The 75-minute journey pairs a guided 30-minute forest immersion in Le Chameau boots with a 45-minute garden-to-treatment foot ritual featuring a herbal soak harvested from the Domaine’s 21,500 sqft organic kitchen garden.
