Routes World 2026 has begun at Messe Frankfurt running from 21 to 23 October 2026. The event has drawn delegates from more than 120 countries representing over 240 airlines, airports and tourism authorities. More than 11,000 pre-scheduled face-to-face network planning meetings are locked in.
The conference features CEO keynotes from major carriers including Lufthansa Group, British Airways, Emirates, Condor and Wizz Air. Sessions address AI in route development, network planning trends, airline-airport-destination partnerships and Middle East recovery strategies. Major aerospace and tech companies including Airbus, Embraer and Lufthansa Systems anchor the exhibition floor.
The gathering coincides with a report showing a slump in Germany’s domestic and European business air connectivity. Frankfurt and other regional airports are using the event to negotiate new partnerships and recover lost routes. The event concludes on 23 October with a handover ceremony.
