Dominica is developing Port Cabrits Marina in Portsmouth with Phase One targeted for completion in the first quarter of 2027. The facility next to the InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort and Spa is designed for superyachts up to 46 metres and is described as a 105-berth marina. Construction began in May 2024.

Plans include a waterfront district with restaurants, retail, craft markets, customs and immigration facilities. The project aims to attract higher-spending yacht visitors and support local tourism businesses near Cabrits National Park. Dominica recorded 496,635 total visitor arrivals in 2025, up from 432,989 the year before.

The completed development will include deep-water berths designed to host luxury vessels measuring up to 150 feet and potentially up to 90 metres for select slots. Strategic placement inside the natural cover of the Cabrits headland protects yachts against heavy winter swells. Immediate access to the upscale amenities, dining and crew lodging of the adjacent InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort and Spa is available.
