Nox Mobility plans to launch a night train service linking Hamburg and Munich in 2027. The route will run via Bremen and Augsburg and feature individual private suites for all passengers. The service aims to offer a more comfortable overnight alternative for travellers between the two German cities.
The premium business-class night train is scheduled to launch on 23 March 2027. Operated by Berlin-based startup Nox Mobility in partnership with TRI Train Rental GmbH, the service aims to provide a high-quality alternative to domestic short-haul flights. The train will initially run three times a week in each direction.
Rather than traditional shared couchettes, the service debuts with a seat-based pod concept. Every passenger gets an individual pod featuring a large seat, work and dining table, power outlets and dedicated luggage space. At night, the seat extends into a two-metre-long flat lounge bed next to the window. One-way tickets for the Nox Suites start at around €65.
