  • IAG indicated it would likely make pricing adjustments.

TUI has confirmed no fuel surcharges on flights and holidays up to summer 2027 despite rising jet fuel costs. Once customers book and pay the price will not change. Both operators cited the need for price certainty for customers as fuel now accounts for a larger share of airline operating costs. EasyJet also joined the pledge guaranteeing no hidden fuel fees.

Under package travel regulations travel firms are legally permitted to add surcharges of up to 8pc after a booking is made if fuel costs spike. Jet2 went further by entirely removing the surcharge clause from its terms and conditions. The No Fuel Surcharges guarantee has been locked in for winter 2026/27 summer 2027 and all seasons up to summer 2028.

TUI UK and Ireland Managing Director Neil Swanson confirmed TUI’s holiday prices are completely fixed once paid. TUI chose to absorb the financial volatility rather than pass it on despite disclosing a €40m hit earlier in the year due to rising fuel expenses. British Airways parent company IAG noted it is not immune to rising oil costs and indicated it would likely make pricing adjustments.
