Mary Considine of Shannon Airport was the keynote speaker at yerterday’s European Regions Airline Association general assembly at Innsbruck.

She said Shannon Airport’s achievement in recording its highest passenger traffic figures in over a decade, surpassing pre-COVID levels, was down to strong partnerships with airlines, which have resulted in new routes and increased frequencies.

Shannon Airport has prioritised efficient and enjoyable air travel by investing in modern technology, data-sharing platforms, and passenger-centric initiatives.

She emphasised the importance of collaboration and synergy between exceptional employees, innovative systems, and a commitment to passenger needs.

“The airport has focused on streamlining processes, reducing delays, and enhancing the overall travel experience. Sustainability is also a core value, with goals to reduce carbon emissions and pursue eco-friendly practices. The airport aims to position itself as a hub for technology and aerospace industries, contributing to regional job creation and economic opportunities.”
