
John Brennan has been appointed as the Managing Director of daa Labs, the IT and Business Intelligence division of Dublin Airport. Daa labs is derivate of IT division of Ryanair, Ryanair Labs, where Dublin Airport CEO Kenny Jacobs used to work.
This new role also includes overseeing the Digital and Innovation capabilities of the daa Group. Brennan, who previously served as the Director of Operations at Dublin Airport, played a crucial role in enhancing the passenger experience and delivering improvements through daa’s Better Dublin Airport program.
In his new position, he will be responsible for setting and implementing the IT strategy to support daa’s business goals, with a focus on delivering seamless digital services for customers and passengers.
Kenny Jacobs, the CEO of daa, expressed confidence in Brennan’s skill set and knowledge to enhance the team’s performance and maintain a customer-centric approach: “The new role of Managing Director of daa Labs is a key role for our business, and John Brennan will set our IT strategy to support daa’s business goals and oversee its successful implementation. John will be responsible for bringing complete focus to the seamless delivery of the digital service that our customers and passengers expect and demand and keeping the passenger front and centre. His skill set and knowledge of our operation will support and enhance the performance of the team.”
He said the appointment “will bring better alignment across distinct functions and disciplines with shared objectives, faster decision making and a greater focus across our business on delivering our vision.”
