Ballymena bus manufacturer Wrightbus has secured another order for electric buses, marking their third order in just over a month.
This order comes from London bus operator Abellio and consists of 24 single-deck and 56 double-deck buses, set to operate in London next year.
Previously, it was announced that Aviva in London had also placed an order for 34 additional double-deck electric buses, bringing their total order to 100.
With this new deal, Abellio’s order with Wrightbus exceeds 100 buses. They had previously ordered 30 buses, which were delivered last year, making their total order now over 100 buses.
