ITAA welcomes Leadership in Travel Industry graduates

Minister Dara Calleary presented graduates of the Irish Travel Agents Association Leadership Excellence in the Travel Industry programme with their certificates at a ceremony in Dublin.

The programme was developed by the Irish Travel Agents Association, Positive2Work Skillnet, and travel experts, aiming to provide a relevant course for the travel industry.

The Leadership Excellence programme focuses on enhancing leadership skills of Travel Professionals through modules on team growth, digital transformation, and sustainability in the travel industry.

Clare Dunne, ITAA CEO commented at the graduation ceremony, “The ITAA is very proud of the graduates’ hard work and their dedication to the programme over the past few months. We are delighted with their achievements and look forward to watching them implement what they have learnt into their career. The feedback we have received from participants is overwhelmingly positive and we anticipate further developing this course and running it again.”

Gráinne O’Boyle, Director, Positive2work Skillnet commented at the graduation ceremony, “The collaboration between Postive2work Skillnet and the Irish Travel Agents Association underscores our commitment to fostering leadership excellence in SME sectors such as the travel industry. Providing cutting-edge, industry-relevant training empowers and strengthens the workforce. This can only be a positive outcome.”

The ITAA represents Ireland’s travel Industry, bringing together over 100 travel agent members and 70 partners. ITAA members cover over 140 outlets in different towns and cities throughout the Republic of Ireland. All travel agent members are licenced and bonded with the IAA (Irish Aviation Authority) to trade in the Republic of Ireland.
