A bench trial has begun in U.S. District Court, in litigation between the SS United States Conservancy and its landlord, Penn Warehousing, over a rent dispute.
Penn Warehousing doubled the rent and demanded to remove the ship from Pier 82 in Philadelphia.
The Conservancy believes that the trial puts the ship at risk and hopes government leaders will assist in relocating it to a different location.
