The startup planned by English travel enthusiast James Asquith, Global Airlines, has postponed its launch to the latter half of 2024 due to partner delays and supply chain issues.

The airline plans to begin with charter flights later in 2024 and expects to operate scheduled services from England within the next 12 months.

Global Airlines currently has one A380-800 aircraft, with plans to operate trans-Atlantic flights using this type of aircraft in a multi-class configuration.

The company has faced changes, including a new relationship with Hi Fly, and is currently addressing challenges in securing heavy maintenance slots, hangar space, and manpower.
