
The Turkish Tourism Board has announced a 19.5pc year-on-year growth in tourism numbers from Ireland in 2023.
This growth exceeded expectations and contributed to a total of 163,000 visitors from Ireland to Turkey in the same year.

In 2023, Türkiye welcomed a total of 56.7m international visitors, reflecting a 10pc increase, and its tourism income rose by 17pc to €49.6bn, highlighting its strong presence in the global travel market.
The number of flights to Turkey is increasing in 2024 as SunExpress are to fly Dublin to Izmir 7w & Antalya 3w in summer 2024 and Turkish Airways is considering increasing its 18w service to Istanbul. Aer LIngus fly 4w to Izmir and Ryanair fly 2w to Dalaman and Milas.
