Kerry Airport saw an 17.7pc increase in passenger figures in 2023 compared to the previous year and 13.4pc up on pre-pandemic, reaching levels not seen in 15 years.
A total of 419,281 passengers travelled through Kerry Airport last year, just 0.9pc shy of the record high of 423,248 passengers in 2008.
CEO John Mulhern attributed the success to the efforts of the Kerry Airport Board, management team, staff, airlines, and the traveling public.
Flights to England accounted for half of the passenger footfall, while summer sun destinations in Spain and Portugal had a high seat occupancy rate in 2023 with strong booking activity for the upcoming routes. Chalair will also be returning to Kerry Airport to service routes to popular holiday destinations in France.
