
Hosted tours and a concert by Diana Ross has opened the world’s largest inbound travel trade show, the U.S. Travel Association’s IPW (formerly International Pow Wow) hosted by Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board in Los Angeles until May 7,
The Los Angeles Convention Centre is the main venue for IPW, with key events taking place at locations in LA such as the Getty Centre, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and Universal Studios Hollywood.
The IPW show attendance is expected to exceed 2019 levels for the first time since the pandemic, generating more than $5.5 billion in future travel to the United States. LA Tourism continues to promote the city globally with its ‘Now Playing’ campaign and welcomes citywide conventions as part of its Meetings and Conventions programme.
Ireland’s 29 delegates, including first timers Ed Finn, Catherine Murphy, Martin O’Regan, Selina Pridmore and Sarah Slattery, are split 16/13 between trade and media and consist of an official delegation of 25 and two independent attendees with other companies:
