Speaking at the event Eva Fernandez of Visit Valencia said: For those who still don’t know the destination, I think it’s about time to do so. Please come and visit us this year. As you know, Valencia is the third-largest city in Spain, a Mediterranean city with Mediterranean weather. We have heritage architecture, the amazing C of Arts and Sciences, beautiful philal architecture, a vibrant cultural agenda, and of course, top cuisine with ASAS tribe.
This year, we are particularly happy because the European Community has named Valencia as the European Green Capital for 2024. This is an honor, but it’s also a responsibility as the first Mediterranean city to receive this privilege. We have been focusing on sustainable mobility, green infrastructure, preservation of local biodiversity, promotion of organic and local products, and the local diet. Our commitment is towards a better, greener, and healthier city.
Valencia is attracting more attention from Irish holiday makers, and many are deciding to stay. We are delighted about this and continue to work on building bridges between our communities. Thank you for the invitation, for being a part of this, and before leaving, I invite you to a visual journey to Valencia.
