Oceania Cruises marked the float out of its new ship, the Allura, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente, Italy, where the 1,200-guest vessel was moved from the drydock to the fitting-out berth for interior outfitting.
The Allura was blessed by the shipyard’s chaplain and christened by a designer in Fincantieri’s technical department, representing an important moment for Oceania Cruises and Fincantieri.
Oceania Cruises President, Frank A. Del Rio, expressed condolences for the passing of General Graziano, while highlighting the significance of the float out in bringing the Allura closer to joining the fleet and enhancing the brand’s offerings.
The Allura is scheduled to enter service from Trieste, Italy, on July 18, 2025, with Mediterranean, Canada and New England, and Caribbean itineraries planned for her inaugural season.
