Disney has announced plans to build four new cruise ships between 2027 and 2031, expanding its fleet to 13 ships.
Meyer Werft said in a social media post that Disney’s is the highest order value in yard history.
Ship names, designs, and itineraries for the new ships are still being developed
The Disney Magic and Wonder were the line’s first newbuilds, with subsequent ships built at Meyer Werft in Pappenburg in Germany,
The most recent new ship, the Disney Wish, launched in 2022 and the Disney Treasure is set to sail later this year. An official announcement on the new ships is expected soon.
