Royal Caribbean International’s Allure of the Seas is undergoing a major refurbishment ahead of its summer program in the Western Mediterranean as part of the Royal Amplified programme, with a $100m upgrade adding new features, experiences, and venues during a drydock.
The renovation includes enhancements to over 35 bars and restaurants, as well as new thrills and relaxation options, with specific focuses on pool decks, water features, food and beverage offerings, family-friendly spaces, additional suites, and more.
Upgrades to pool decks and water features include reimagined Caribbean pool decks with more seating options and shade, a redesigned Solarium, the addition of The Perfect Storm waterslides, and an enhanced Splashway Bay.
New food and beverage concepts are being introduced, such as The Lime & Coconut poolside bar, El Loco Fresh for Mexican cuisine, the Caribbean-themed Pesky Parrot bar, Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, and The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar. Additional family-friendly spaces and suites are being added to enhance the guest experience on the ship.
Pool Decks and Water Features:
- Reimagined Caribbean pool decks with a wider variety of seating and shade, including casitas, in-pool loungers, and daybeds.
- The adults-only Solarium with the addition of a Samba Grill and dedicated bars.
- The Perfect Storm waterslides – Cyclone, Typhoon racing slides, and SuperCell champagne bowl.
- Upgrade of Splashway Bay featuring slides, water cannons, fountains, pools, whirlpools, and drench buckets.
Food and Beverage:
- The Lime & Coconut poolside bar.
- El Loco Fresh offering tacos, burritos, and quesadillas.
- Pesky Parrot serving fruit-based cocktails and frozen drinks.
- Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade for watching live games, playing arcade classics, and ordering bar fare.
- The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar offering Southern comfort food, live country music, and more.
