MSC Cruises has cancelled a 21-night cruise to Greenland aboard the MSC Poesia scheduled for June 28, 2025, due to operational reasons affecting the ship’s deployment, with a statement expressing regret and apologizing for any inconvenience caused to booked guests.

The itinerary from Copenhagen was set to visit eight destinations in Iceland, Greenland, Scotland, and Germany, including ports like Akureyri, Reykjavik, Nuuk, Qaqortoq, Invergordon, and Warnemunde.

Affected guests have been given two options: the opportunity to change their reservation to any other available MSC cruise, subject to promotions, pricing, and cabin availability, with payments transferred to the new booking, or to cancel their reservation for a full refund.

MSC Poesia, after offering similar itineraries in 2023 and 2024, will not return to Greenland and instead spend the summer in Northern Europe, offering seven-night cruises to the Baltic Sea and Scandinavia from Germany and Denmark in 2025. The ship will also provide week-long cruises to the Norwegian Fjords before repositioning to the Mediterranean for 10- and 11-night cruises to the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands from October.
