AmaWaterways has introduced a new “Best of the Danube” itinerary, curated by President Rudi Schreiner, offering roundtrip sailings from Budapest with multiple departures in 2025 and 2026.
The itinerary includes a total of 15 departures in 2025 and 14 in 2026, with special early-season sailings onboard the AmaMagna starting on February 23 and March 2, 2025, and Feb. 8, 15, 22, and March 1, 2026.
President Schreiner highlighted the charm of the route, featuring three capital cities (Budapest, Vienna, and Bratislava) and the scenic beauty of the Wachau Valley, with short cruising distances and ample time for exploration.
The seven-night itinerary offers various excursions in Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest, including biking and walking tours, food tastings, visits to cathedrals and palaces, and hikes, with highlights such as Slovakia’s traditional foods, Melk Abbey, guided bike rides in Vienna, and exploring Budapest’s Castle District.
