The new Star Princess was launched at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone shipyard on Thursday September 26, with attendees including executives from Princess Cruises and Fincantieri.
The ceremony featured godmothers Chiara del Vecchio, a third engineer, and Francesca Maraventano, an executive assistant at the shipyard.
The Star Princess is the second-largest ship ever built in Italy and the second LNG-powered cruise ship being constructed by Fincantieri for Princess Cruises.
Set to be delivered in September 2025, it will be the second dual-fuel ship in the Princess fleet, primarily powered by LNG.
