Star of the Seas float out

The new Star of the Seas from Royal Caribbean International has been floated out at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, marking its first time in water.

The ship is set to enter service in August 2025, with itineraries launching from Port Canaveral.

A traditional maritime ceremony, including a cannon shot, celebrated the float out, recognizing the 19 months of work from thousands of individuals involved in its construction.

The drydock was filled with 92m gallons of water overnight, a process that took nearly nine hours to complete.
