Emerald Cruises to launch 180-guest Emerald Astra in 2026

Emerald Cruises announced plans to launch the Emerald Astra in 2026, a 180-guest ship that will operate on the Rhine, Moselle, and Danube rivers, featuring a pool/cinema combination, multiple dining options, and an enhanced sun deck.

Bookings for the 2026 river cruise season will open on October 29, 2024, as part of the company’s effort to expand its fleet and improve guest experiences.

Extensive upgrades to the European river fleet will be completed by the 2025 season, including redesigned lounges, revamped pool/cinema areas, and enhanced in-suite technology, all intended to elevate the standards of luxury river cruising.
